Lincoln offers great parking facilities around the city and in the city centre. Car parks run by City of Lincoln Council, St Marks Shopping Centre or NCP are available seven days a week. There are also car parks available at specific times during the week at the University of Lincoln and the offices of the City of Lincoln Council.

You can make a shopping trip to Lincoln easily by road and the recent dualing of the A46 makes journeys from Nottingham, Leicester and beyond considerably quicker.

• From the north: travel to Lincoln via the A15 (Hull) or the A46 (Grimsby).
• From the south: travel to Lincoln via the A46 (Newark) or the A15 (East Anglia).
• From the east: travel to Lincoln via the A158 (Skegness).
• From the west: travel to Lincoln via A1 and A57 (Worksop/Sheffield).

Lincoln Park & Ride is available from Waitrose (LN2 4DS) Monday - Saturday from 7am (8am on Saturday) to 6:20pm. Full details are available on the Visit Lincoln website.

There are great bus connections throughout Lincoln and Lincolnshire to help you visit the city for shopping.

Lincoln Central railway station is located in the south of the city centre within easy walking distance of the shopping and cultural areas.

Direct connections are provided by East Midlands Trains, LNER and Northern Rail which operate daily services to Peterborough, Leicester, Nottingham, Sheffield, Doncaster and London.

The train station is fully accessible for wheelchairs.

Lincoln is easily accessible by bike with plenty of bike stands to lock up in the city and a hirebike service.

The city is found on NCN64 and NCN1 providing great cycle routes in and out of the city. In the centre itself there are plenty of places to lock up your bike although much of the shopping areas are pedestrian only. Download the Lincoln Cycle Routes map.

hirebike is a great way to get around the city when you are already here. 40 bikes are available for hire at stations in and around Lincoln city centre at £1 per hour. Your first hour is free and 24 hours hire is capped at £4.

Shopmobility, located on Meville Street, provides powered scooters as well as powered and manual wheelchairs for daily loans.

The office is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 4:15pm. Annual membership costs £10 and offers free hire year round. Mobility equipment can be hired on an ad hoc basis without membership at a fee.
