Family-run, independent wine merchant based on the famous Steep Hill specialising in Chablis and Burgundy, which is imported directly from growers in France.

Steep Hill Wines hold a wide and extensive range of hand-selected wines from across the globe. They have an extensive collection of fortified wine from Portugal, Jerez and the New World, with Sherry, Port and Madeira all well represented.

In addition to wine, you will find a fantastic selection of locally brewed beers, ciders, gins and vodkas.

To complement their range of drinks, Steep Hill Wines also stock an exceptional range of glassware and decanters from companies such as LSA and Riedel; along with a full range of wine accessories and gifts.

Location

Steep Hill Wines is situated within a building which dates back thousands of years.

The wine cellar is part Roman and part Medieval, with the main building dating back to the Georgian period.

Its location on Steep Hill is believed to be the site of the original Roman Guard House which sat at the southern entrance to the city.
