Former RAF Hemswell
RAF Hemswell had a lot of involvement during the Second World War with the famous Lancaster bombers stationed there. The base was a double for RAF Scampton in the 50s during the production of The Dam Busters.
There is a Bomber Command memorial placed at the side of the A631 and a larger memorial with in the antiques centre grounds.
